New Kia Seltos Facelift with big design changes

Mar 25, 2024

The Kia Seltos is the top-selling Kia vehicle globally and is also a popular model that ranks high in global sales. It is on par with the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4 in overseas markets.

According to history, the Kia Sportage was the world's first urban SUV, born earlier than the RAV4, and therefore is a symbolic model of historical significance in the Kia brand.

The current fifth-generation Sibo Toku boundary mid-term facelift model will be launched in the second half of this year. The current Sibo Toku boundary attracted attention with its unique design when it was launched. Although it performed averagely in the domestic market, it has gained high popularity both domestically and internationally.

Recently, overseas media exposed the speculative images of the mid-term facelift for the Kia Seltos and Sportage. The new car will adopt Kia's latest design styles, including vertical headlights and a larger grille, giving it a similar overall appearance to the fourth-generation facelift of the Sorento.

The tail of the car has undergone minor modifications in the shape of the taillights, and the rear bumper has been adjusted to a more SUV-like style. The front and rear bumper designs are similar to those of the mid-term facelifts of the K5 and Sorento, but the overall side profile design remains unchanged, and there may be some changes in the wheel design.

In terms of interior design, the majority of the current design style has been maintained, and the new Kia UX/UI ccNc infotainment system has been adopted. The new system operates more intuitively and has abundant features. The Kia EV5 in the domestic market has already been the first to be equipped with this system.

In terms of the power system, similar to the recently modified medium-term Tuvsen, the current lineup will be maintained. The main models will be equipped with a 1.6L gasoline turbocharged engine mated with a 7-speed DCT gearbox, while the domestic market will have a 1.5T paired with an 8AT. The hybrid system aims to improve fuel efficiency through logic improvements and will continue to use the 2.0L natural aspirated + 6AT hybrid system. The 2.0L diesel engine will also be maintained for some time in overseas markets. The 2.0L LPG power system will also be retained, but diesel and LPG models will not be available in the domestic market.
